  • Description and Status

Arabian Canal is a 12,000 ha mixed-use development planned around a 75 km man-made fully navigable canal with bridges, marinas, islands, and beaches. The project is planned to be built in the vicinity of Al Maktoum Airport and aims to be a new destination with the potential to change the landscape of Dubai. Once completed, the massive Jebel Ali landmass will be transformed into an island.

The project consists of a mix of sustainable high-density urban centers with low-rise secluded developments. The project is on hold since 2009.
