The experience has been applied in projects concerning the layout and design of many types of coastal infrastructure (shore protection, reclamation, islands, ports, terminals, pipelines, single buoy moorings, breakwaters, etc.) and in studies dealing with broader planning and long-term management of the coastal zones, estuaries and coastal environment.
